Creating an Advisor Profile
You will receive an invite email from Measured prompting you to create your advisor account.
Choose a password and set up multi-factor authentication using any standard MFA authenticator like Google Authenticator or Duo Mobile. For guidance on setting up Google Authenticator, see the Authenticator Set Up section below.
REMINDER: You must download and keep the authenticator app on your phone to access the Measured application. Each time you log in you will be prompted for your authenticator code.
Once you have logged in, you will be asked to add your custodial advisor codes. Measured uses these codes to connect to your client's brokerage account data securely and enables you to search for your clients within the Measured platform.
Once your codes have been accepted (~24 hours) you will be able to start an application from your Advisor home screen.
Tip: At Schwab, this is an 8 or 10 digit code that typically starts with 08 or 0008. At Fidelity, this code is called a G number and starts with G followed by an 8 digit number.
Submitting an Application
Log into Measured at advisor.measuredhq.com.
REMINDER: The link in the email you received to set up your account can't be used again. It is a one-time use link. Use the link above to login.
On Advisor home, you will see a New Application button.
Search your client by entering their brokerage account number.
You will see a list of your client's accounts from the advisor codes you have added to your profile. If you do not see the account you are looking for, please make sure the account is associated with one of the codes on your Measured profile. Select an eligible account to continue the application and add additional advisor codes as needed.
Select whether this is a new line of credit or if the account has an existing SBLOC in place that you wish to refinance. If it is a refinance request, enter the existing lender and the loan ID. Measured will use this information to pay off the external lender. Currently, all refinance requests must be completed by the advisor.
If this is a new line of credit, you can invite your client to complete the application or proceed with completing the application on their behalf.
If you are completing the application, select the amount of credit needed either by sliding the amount slider or clicking Edit next to the amount and typing in the value you are requesting for the line. Depending on the line size you have selected, an interest rate will be set for the line.
After submitting the application, your client will receive an email prompting them to review the offer and complete the digital agreements package.
Processing of an Application
Measured signs all required documents executed using our client digital experience and sends you, the advisor, the collateral restriction package to be submitted to Schwab or Fidelity.
Submit the collateral restriction package through your advisor portal or reach out to your customer support team at the custodian.
The custodian will process the collateral agreement and restrict the brokerage account. They will send a counter-signed agreement back to you, which you should send back to Measured at [email protected]. This can take anywhere from 2–5 business days. Please include the DocuSign certificate, if applicable.
Measured will open the line of credit once we have confirmed the external collateral account is restricted. You and your client will be notified when the line is available to draw from.
After the restriction is in place, you will still be able to freely trade on the account. Margin and options trading features will be disabled and cash cannot be withdrawn from the account without a Collateral Release Authorization.
Changes in the collateral account's positions may change the amount you are able to borrow.
Tip: To ensure processing Collateral Restriction Agreements in a timely manner at the custodian, remove the margin and options trading features prior to submitting the restriction agreement. You can remove these features by calling your customer support team at the custodian.
Loan Management
Log into Measured at advisor.measuredhq.com.
On Advisor home, you will see a list of your active accounts.
Select any of the accounts you would like to manage. This includes drawing on the line, checking balances, and enrolling in auto pay.
Measured suggests making sure your clients are enrolled in auto pay so the line of credit is paid down based on the preferred plan of the draw. Auto pay settings can be found in account settings.
One-time payments are always accepted on the line of credit. You can submit these payments to process immediately or schedule them in advance.
Within the settings on an account you can view linked bank accounts and find all of the documents for the line of credit. Documents include counter-signed agreements, Measured's terms and conditions, and monthly account statements.
Authenticator Set Up
To log into the Measured platform, you will need an authenticator app. Measured recommends Google Authenticator, available for free in the App Store or Google Play.
Setting up from a desktop (recommended)
Open your authenticator app on your phone and select + or Add.
Select Scan a QR Code.
Scan the QR code displayed on your Measured login screen.
Enter the one-time code shown in the app into the Enter your one-time code field on the Measured login screen and click Continue.
For security reasons, Measured requires you to provide the one-time code each time you log in to keep your data safe. You will only need to scan the QR code one time to set up the initial connection.
Setting up from a mobile device
If you are logging into Measured from your mobile device for the first time, you will not be able to scan the QR code directly. Instead:
On the Measured login screen, tap Trouble Scanning?
You will be shown a setup key — tap Copy code to copy it.
Open your authenticator app and select + or Add.
Select Enter a setup key.
Paste the key into the Your key field, give the connection a name (e.g. "Measured Advisor"), and tap Add.
Your authenticator app will now generate a one-time code. Enter this code into the Enter your one-time code field on the Measured login screen and tap Continue to complete the setup.
